European Business

The EU countries have been experiencing turbulent times over the last decade. The first trough was in 2003 when the overall economy in the majority of the EU member states was very week (Thornton 2006). Looking at the overall EU business exports, the following figure shows a major reduction in proportion of businesses that exported in 2006.
