Short excerpt:

A group is any tool that focuses on the experience and expertise of several different people on any particular problem or situation. Thus, a group can be thought of any arrangement that offers the advantage of greater knowledge. A group accumulates more knowledge, information. While it might seem obvious that any groups intelligence exceeds that of one member, in practice that is not so always the case especially with regard to the decision making. For example, at one time or another one might probably exclaim, One cant accomplish anything in a meeting as everyone has his or her own agenda. The more people are the more impossible it becomes.
