Developmen"†t strategy to increase overall capacity at Mumbai Internatio"†nal Airport

Mumbai, India, is economically a very important city for the country. Its airport is a crucial element for conducting global business so foreign firms may establish their businesses here. However, currently the airport is running almost to full capacity and will exhaust in 2013. Flights are being cancelled and airline fares are increased. If such conditions prevail, passengers may have to resort to other means of transport. To resolve this issue, the government planned to build a new airport, however, the site, budget and location etc of this airport is controversial and is damaging the environment, as it will be built on mangroves.
