Before one can establish good relations with others, self-knowledge should have been achieved from various sources. As one grows up, self-concept likewise grows. From basic information one knows about oneself, it grows into knowledge of how one responds to certain situations and what kind of personality traits he or she possesses. Usually, this learning is concurrent with learning about others.
