Professor Nicholas Negroponte launched a 100 Laptop in 2003 with the Media Lab of MIT. This project was later transformed into a nonprofit association founded by him in 2005, called One Laptop Per Child (OLPC). This case study is about various technical challenges in production, and marketing challenges the association has to face in the challenging external environment filled by the threats of competitors, ever changing technology and the product substitutes.
