Short excerpt:

The 3-step process when a buyer and a seller negotiate starts with the preparation. There are several things that must be prepared in negotiations. First, one must be aware of the issues that he wants to negotiate(Purchasing and Procurement Center, n.d.). In a buyer/seller negotiation, it can be the price of the product or the length of the warranty period. In the preparation period, one must have all the necessary information he needs to know about the issues(Purchasing and Procurement Center, n.d.). Furthermore, one should classify the issues as to whether they are negotiable or not. Finally, the meeting agenda must be prepared to remind one of all the issues that must be taken up(Purchasing and Procurement Center, n.d.).
